"Water Amber" discs from Guinea Bissau

Little is known about these irregularly shaped "amber" disc pieces ... found in river beds in Guinea Bissau .. which are a type of young, partially fossilised, amber resin.
Unusual items .. to be used in unique projects. The beads on these strands have been left in their natural state when found, the broken edge shows their true colour ..
if oiled or polished.  Bead diameters from 20 to 32 mm - Thicknesses from 4 to 7 mm.
