Ancient Roman Bottle / Amphora Glass found in Afghanistan
Large heavy-duty convex glass discs .. too heavy to wear as jewellery
but excellent material for use in Museum Displays and Ancient History Lectures.
Having been buried underground for hundreds of years, this glass had a lot of white detritus when it was discovered. The strands on this page have been partially cleaned by a 60 minute immersion in Baby Oil, but those on the next page are "as found".
