The descriptive notes are from the artistic Kenyan designer and creator .. Meggie Kagwi
This is one of my latest designs -- the
idea came about when I wondering what to give our youngest daughter for her birthday .. something that I had made myself and would be special. She loves beads, so I made her one of these to hang outside her play area where she
spends so much time with her friends. It moves with the wind and is best hung near the entrance of your home or outside on a patio .. to share the unique sound with your family and friends.
Mine is in the veranda of our home where I spend most of my time working with beads. All the amber beads in this piece came from Morocco The Baoule brass comes from Ghana and the Ivory coast
The ring is a very old one and was found in Kano, Northern Nigeria The antique Benue tribe bell was purchased in Lagos, Nigeria The small black bead near the bottom is from India The brass spacers are from Tunisia
Total hanging length: 28 ins / 70 cm .. Weight: 370 grams .. Brass bell: 70 x 46 mm Largest yellow amber bead: 32 x 50 mm .. Largest Baoule brass barrel: 38 x 22 mm
