This set of two is used to give beaded elegance to your curtains when they are tied back.
The design came about when I had finished decorating a client's house and felt that something was still missing --
something to tie all the colours I had used together. The idea worked like a charm, pleasing the client and resulting in many more orders from visitors to their house.
The white cow bone barrels are from Kenya
The antique brass bangles and bells are from the Kambari tribe of Nigeria
The antique agate ovals .. a favourite of the Hausa tribe .. are from India, via Kano in Nigeria
All the batik cow bone beads, the mask and the 'leaves' are from Kenya
Various spacer beads from the Czech Republic and India
Length of each: 30 ins / 76 cm .. Total Weight: 860 grams .. Largest brass sphere 35 x 35 mm
Largest white agate: 50 x 7 mm .. Cow bone barrels approx. 25 x 25 mm
