The antique white glass oval beads in this design originated from the Czech Republic. They are often used in necklaces by the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria and in olden times by the ladies who worked in the palaces,
looking after the members of the Yoruba royal family.
The red beds were purchased in Togo The 'leaves' are made out of batik cow bone from Kenya
The brass spherical bead was made by the Baoule tribe of the Ivory Coast The two antique bells are from the Kambari tribe, from Nigeria near the Cameroon border
The large white piece holding all the strands together is cow bone from Kenya The red and black beads are from India The brass spacers are from Tunisia
