Morfia Single Beads

The earliest of the Islamic Fustat Fused Rod beads approx. 1100 years old ... in great demand by serious collectors and very rare to find, especially in good condition.
One reason for the scarcity of these beads is a tradition amongst rich Mauritanians to buy perfectly good Morfia .. at prices of up to $600 each .. and then break them into small pieces .. to be shared, as highly valued heirlooms, amongst their siblings.
